## What is Initiation?
“Initiation is the opening of a pathway of energy. You know, there are so many frequencies that we download from the universe—the white light is shining upon us all the time. According to our evolution and according to the capability of our crown chakra, we keep absorbing various frequencies of wisdom and light from the universe.
Initiation is opening of the Guru Parampara and a pathway, and a vibratory field that is completely new and full of wisdom. The Guru opens up—by initiating, he opens up this absorption in our system. And this itself becomes a field in which we thrive and we grow spiritually. So it’s a very pious, a very generous, pious, and a very spiritual act which opens up doors and doors of possibilities for our spiritual growth.”
## What is a Guru Mantra?
“Guru Mantra similarly is a mantra that is Guhya—it is given by the Guru, it’s a Guhya mantra. Something that is carried forward in the Parampara and something that keeps, you know, the Sadhak completely protected and bound to the spiritual practice.”
## The Importance of Practice
“Once you receive a Guru Mantra, we are asked to practice. And the same thing it is with initiation—if you’re initiated in any system, you’re asked to practice.
So, nothing spectacular can happen with just the initiation and the Guru Mantra unless a Sadhak takes on to a committed practice, and unless a Sadhak takes on to a commitment within himself, you know, to walk on the path.
Nevertheless, the initiation and the Guru Mantra is like a shower of grace and somewhere, possibilities are built up in your timeline that, you know, the doors of enlightenment and wisdom open up for you. Depending on our own commitment to what we receive, the progress happens. But grace is showered, that is for certain.”
